Boy band NCT 127 to hold Bangkok fan meeting next month

SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Yonhap) — South Korean boy band NCT 127 will hold a fan meeting in Thailand next month, its agency said Wednesday.

The star of 2017’s pulsating summer hit “Cherry Bomb” will perform its popular songs in the event at the Thunder Dome Muang Thong Thani complex in Bangkok on Sept. 9, according to S.M. Entertainment.

NCT 127 is part of S.M. Entertainment’s NCT project, under which it plans to debut a series of idol groups under the same moniker in major cities around the world. Other NCTs include NCT U and NCT Dream, both based in Seoul.

“Cherry Bomb” had climbed to the top of Apple iTunes album charts in Thailand and 10 other countries after being released in June. Five singers of the fifteen-member group have filmed commercials for Masita, a popular Thai seaweed snack, in February.
