SEOUL, July 27 (Yonhap) — K-pop boy band BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, will hold a concert later this year in Seoul as the finale of its world tour that kicked off in February, its agency said Thursday.
The three-day concert, titled “2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour The Final,” will be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in western Seoul from Dec. 8, according to Big Hit Entertainment.
The team kicked off its third world tour in February at the Gocheok Sky Dome and has traveled to 17 cities in 10 countries, including in North America, Southeast Asia, Australia and Japan.
BTS is also preparing to release a new album in September.
The idol act, which debuted in 2013, has grown into one of K-pop’s marquee bands today. The band won the Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards in May.
Four albums by the group, including “Spring Day” and “You Never Walk Alone,” cracked the Billboard 200, an astonishing achievement for a K-pop group that sings in Korean and rarely promotes its albums in America.
