SEOUL, March 8 (Yonhap) — Actor Lee Dong-wook, known for his grim reaper role in the hit South Korean drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,” on Wednesday opened his Naver V app channel to better communicate with his fans at home and abroad.
“I’m happy to have this channel through which I can more closely communicate with my local and overseas fans,” Lee said in a video uploaded on the channel. “Please have much anticipation for this channel because I will unveil a behind-the-scenes video of the fan meeting on Sunday and part of the meeting on this.”
Lee is to hold a series of meet-and-greets in Seoul on Sunday and later in six other Asian cities.
He decided to live broadcast part of the Sunday event on the app because tickets for the meeting were sold out one minute after they went on sale, according to the star’s management agency.
The tvN’s fantasy-romance series ended its 16-episode run in January with an average viewership rating of 20.5 percent, a record high for a cable TV series.
